Summer House Season 5 has been unlike any summer the housemates have shared together before, as the cast is spending an entire six weeks in the Hamptons together instead of returning to Manhattan during the week. Judging by the above preview clip of what’s still to come, it seems as though this is creating a bit more tension for the friends, and even results in what appears to be an explosive conversation between Kyle Cooke, Luke Gulbranson, and Carl Radke

On the March 13 episode of The Daily Dish podcast, Carl broke down the intense moment, and shared what viewers can expect to see go down.

“The way I’ll tease it is this. We’re in a house where you can’t sneak anything by anybody. You know, being open and honest is just the best way of action,” said Carl. “I think Luke coming into the summer, having some baggage a little bit, so to speak, I think me and Kyle, we want Luke to have a good summer. We wanted him to get through some of the nonsense with the girls. And not that I’m dismissing the girls’ feelings or anything. For me and Kyle, we’ve spent four summers of having to own things, be responsible for our actions. Take accountability for how we’ve made people feel. Accepting and acknowledging people’s feelings. And some of those things, I think we didn’t see Luke doing.”

“You add in tension, you add in other elements of just being in a house together, and it boils over,” Carl continued. “So, you’ll have to see how it all builds up. But we never want to get into it with our friends. But you know, you add in a lot of stress and a lot of previous history of me and Kyle kind of taking it on the chin, and Luke trying to avoid it. So we were a little frustrated. But ultimately, it built up. So you’ll have to see how it plays out.”
