Carl Radke Says Scheana Shay's Comments About Their Hookup Are "Baffling"

Carl Radke is no stranger to drama, even when it's outside of Summer House. The recent revelation that he may have hooked up with Vanderpump Rules' Scheana Shay had everyone on both coasts talking, from Kristen Doute to Stassi Schroeder to Lauren Wirkus to Stephen McGee. 

Carl confirmed the hookup and said that it happened twice when he appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in February. When the news hit Scheana, she didn't seem exactly thrilled with the way Carl characterized their time together when she addressed the rumors on WWHL and during the Vanderpump Rules After Show (clip above). "We had a drunken makeout once in New York, not twice, once," she said on WWHL. "Making out I don't consider hooking up." 

During an interview with The Daily Dish earlier this month, Carl responded to Scheana's comments, calling them "baffling," and confirmed that they only made out. "I'm sorry that it's becoming kind of a vocabulary game at some juncture. All I know is we had a good time. I didn't think badly about it. She didn't seem [upset] about it," he said. "I think when it comes to being publicly known and how it was shared, yeah, that's frustrating for both of us because I don't think she expected it to be announced to everybody."

He explained that it wasn't his intention to kiss and tell, either. "I wasn't going around telling everyone about this. It got permeated through other kind of rumors, gossiping, and then therefore gets brought up on several different platforms, for whatever reason," Carl said. "I think Scheana's attractive. I don't think I'm a bad sell. Why can't I make out or hook up with someone that's interested in me?" 

It wasn't until Stephen brought it up in an interview in January that the rumor really started getting around. "It's frustrating that he would do that, but what I come to find is if they're talking about you, I mean, you're doing something right. I don't talk about Stephen," Carl shared. "I mean, I wish the best, but it's surprising that he spends a lot of his time sharing things that aren't his story to tell."
