Caroline Stanbury and Sergio Carrallo Can’t Agree on One Aspect of Having a Baby
The Real Housewives of Dubai couple face a new challenge in their relationship around starting a family together.
After Caroline Stanbury and Sergio Carrallo wed in December 2021, they often discussed welcoming a child during Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Dubai.
More recently, on the premiere episode of Season 2, the couple talked about the topic again, revealing their opposing viewpoints as they prepared to move into their recently finished Dubai home.
On Season 2, Episode 1, which aired on June 2, the couple explored their then-in-progress home, touching on details of what still needed to be designed and constructed.
"This is maybe your baby room, I know," Caroline stated as she and Sergio walked into a spare room in the house that was still being finished.
In an interview confessional, Caroline joked that "Sergio's ovaries [were] on fire," and shared they went through IVF last year. The Ladies of London alum explained, however, that she wasn't ready to welcome a baby with her husband anytime soon.
"I currently have one baby boy embryo on ice where he can stay for the foreseeable future," she said with a smile.

As she and Sergio took a last look over the spare room, Sergio professed his desire to have a prospective baby sleep "by [his] side."

In addition to the Season 2 RHODubai premiere, Caroline — who shares three children with her ex-husband, Cem Habib — previously shared on Season 1 that she was “scared” of giving birth at her age and considered surrogacy.
In the spring of 2019, however, the United Arab Emirates enacted laws that prohibited surrogacy and other forms of assisted reproduction, even for married couples. This created a major hinderance for Caroline and Sergio to consider having a baby via surrogacy.
At BravoCon 2023, Caroline revealed there was "a really good update" for her and Sergio. “I just found out this week that surrogacy is legal now in the Middle East," she shared at the time.
The Real Housewives of Dubai newbie Taleen Marie pointed out that this was a progressive step for the UAE.
“This is huge because a few years ago, you couldn’t even live with somebody without being married to them in Dubai,” she said. “I think this shows how progressive Dubai is and how we’re moving forward.”
