Here's What Captain Lee Thinks of Rachel Hargrove's Behavior on the Crew's Days Off
The Below Deck chef also reacts to watching herself get onstage during that day at the beach.
If there's one thing we've learned this season of Below Deck, it's that when Rachel Hargrove does something, she gives it her all, whether it's creating the most exquisite dining experience for charter guests or partying it up on her days off from working on the yacht.
Now, Rachel's boss, Captain Lee Rosbach, knows what she can do in the galley, and he's even seen her lose her cool. But since he doesn't typically join the crew during their time off the boat, he's been seeing what the chef is like in her downtime for the first time while watching Season 8 of Below Deck just like the viewers at home.
Captain Lee shared his reaction to seeing what Rachel is like off the boat during his appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on January 25. "Well, I was surprised, to say the least, and I thought it could have been handled better," Captain Lee said while Rachel, who also appeared remotely as a guest on WWHL that night, seemed to squirm in her seat a little. "But I've seen a lot worse behavior from other chefs that have been on board my vessels. Well, I didn't condone it. Like I said, I've seen way worse."
Below Deck fans also wanted to know what Rachel thought of watching herself in these moments, such as when she took the stage during the crew's day off at a beach club earlier this season, so much so that it was the "number one question" from viewers during the January 25 episode of WWHL, according to host Andy Cohen. "It's definitely bad, but I'm always onstage — doesn't matter if I'm drinking or not," Rachel said of her behavior at the beach club that day. "But maybe I should have not drank as much and really had a nap."
Overall, Captain Lee seemed to not be too fazed by Rachel's behavior. When one fan asked during the WWHL After Show if Captain Lee thought that "Rachel broke your rule about embarrassing the boat on your day off," he replied, "Oh, I think if I fired everyone that ever embarrassed the boat, the list would be a lot longer than it is right now."
