Denise Richards Explains Why She Shared Her Wedding on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
"It’s a vulnerable moment for us sharing our intimate wedding," RHOBH's Denise Richards said.
Denise Richards may have lived much of her life in the public life, but that doesn't mean it's been easy sharing everything with fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in her inaugural season. Still, Denise knew how important it was for her to be an open book when she decided to join the 90210 squad, especially when it came to sharing the most personal moments of her life.
Well, it doesn't get more personal than sharing your wedding with the world on TV, which is exactly what Denise did when she invited us all to her Malibu nuptials with Aaron Phypers in Tuesday's episode of RHOBH. The couple tied the knot on September 8, 2018, and you can check out their special message to fans on the big day in the above clip.
Denise later opened up about her decision to have her wedding be a part of this season of RHOBH. "Thank you for all your lovely messages about tonight’s episode [of] #rhobh. It’s a vulnerable moment for us sharing our intimate wedding. When I started the show I wanted to be my authentic self which is why I might have my hair on top of my head, no make up [and] ripped jeans," Denise shared in an Instagram post that featured a black-and-white photo of herself with her dog George.
"We decided if we got married during filming we would allow @bravotv to capture our wedding. My thoughts were if I’m going to be part of a reality show I need to keep it real [and] show that part of my life even though it’s a personal moment in our life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words and support. It truly means a lot," she concluded.
The newlywed also shared some lovely photos of herself with Aaron and daughters Sam, Lola, and Eloise enjoying the photo booth at the wedding.
As we saw on RHOBH, Denise and Aaron put their wedding together in record time, which surprisingly took the stress out of planning for the couple. "It’s been something we’ve wanted to do for a while, but I have to admit trying to pull it off in a week is still quite the challenge. With it not being either of our first marriages, I think it really does take the edge off, and we both have a very relaxed approach towards it," Denise shared in her March 20 blog on Bravotv.com. "The day will be magical no matter what, and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all."
