Julie Klausner Teases Season 3 of Difficult People

They're back! That's right, Julie Klausner and Billy Eichner's small-screen personas of, well, Julie and Billy, are ready for anything during Season 3 of their Hulu comedy, Difficult People, which premieres this week. And lucky for you, Julie is here to spill all kinds of secrets about the new season to The Daily Dish. Check out what she had to say in the video above -- and read on for some more scoop.

1. Expect Some New Faces

FYI, Lucy Liu will be recurring on #DifficultPeopleS3. Are you ready for 8/8???????

Like guest star Lucy Liu: "Andrea Martin is unbelievable, as always. This season, she’s unbelievable, and so this season she gets the chance to work on her own book, she wants to put out a book, and so we have her with this very bitchy book editor [played by Lucy]."

And John Cho: "We go a lot of places that have sort of been not gone to before on the show. Billy has his first boyfriend; he has his first serious relationship. And we have to kind of navigate that as a throuple instead of a couple. Usually, it’s just Billy and me. John Cho plays a character that is every bit as much of an ***hole as me and Billy, so we get along famously... John Cho is so funny. He does arrogant alpha guy really well. His character’s an ad executive, so we were able to play with that world a little bit compared to the show business world, and it’s fun. They have great chemistry, I must say. Like watching the dailies of those two, it’s pretty satisfying; people will like it."

2. Throw in Some Mommy Issues

TOMORROW (tonight at midnight!): The wait is over.

"We try to go deep with the mother-daughter stuff. We never shy away from grounding that in reality, even if it does go to crazy town. There was this one scene we wrote that was very evocative of Postcards from the Edge, and that was before Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher died, but that was just such a great example, I think, of, like, a mother-daughter relationship that’s complicated and authentic and crazy. But we have a tribute to that. Andrea and I get to go there, and at the same time have fun, and there’s some crazy stuff too, but it is pretty grounded as well."

3. And a Perfectly New Kind of Ending for the BFFs

Repost @shandzee- "that's a wrap on Feud Season 2" (#DifficultPeopleS3) ❤️

"We have a very exciting finale, I don’t want to give it away, but there’s a lot of, like, fun stuff that we get to do in the finale that we’ve never done before."
