Jax Taylor Opens Up About His Plans to Expand His Family and Shares a Big Career Update
The Vanderpump Rules alum is working with wife Brittany Cartwright on his new "awesome" venture.
When viewers first met Jax Taylor on Season 1 of Vanderpump Rules, he was working behind the bar at SUR.
Now, the former bartender has officially moved on to a different part of the restaurant industry — as a co-owner.
On the October 12 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Jax chatted with host Andy Cohen about his new sports bar, and whether his future plans include having more kids with wife Brittany Cartwright.
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's Plans to Expand Their Family
Just under two years after Jax and Brittany wed in front of the cameras at a castle in Kentucky (their wedding was highlighted on Vanderpump Rules Season 8), the pair welcomed their first child together, a son named Cruz Michael Cauchi.
When Cruz celebrated his second birthday in April 2023, his parents noted on Instagram that it had been "the best two years of [their] lives." It's no surprise, then, that Jax and Brittany would love to grow their family in the future.
On WWHL, Andy asked Jax if he would like to have more children some day. The House of Villains cast member responded, "Absolutely, yeah.
"Can't wait," he added.
Jax Taylor's Plans to Grow a Restaurant Empire
In addition to focusing on fatherhood and competing against other reality TV personalities on House of Villains, Jax just added another title to his résumé: restaurateur.
Jax and Brittany recently held a soft opening for their new sports bar, Jax's, which is on Ventura Bouelvard in Studio City.
When Andy asked Jax for an update on the bar, the California resident revealed that he already has expansion on the brain.
"It's already open. It's called Jax's in Studio City," he told the WWHL host. "Hopefully one day we can franchise these, but, yeah, it's called Jax's."
Jax then went on to describe the vibe of the bar.
"It's awesome; it's like a tavern, sports bar, lounge — a little bit of everything," he explained. "My wife designed the majority of it. It's amazing, it's beautiful."
The menu, Jax confirmed, will include an item that will warm the heart of any Vanderpump Rules fan: Mamaw's beer cheese.
Plus, Jax noted, his bar also serves, "clams, oysters, burgers, pastas, everything" in front of 12 big screen TVs.
"It's delicious, it's amazing," he concluded.
