Dolores Catania's Ex Frank Offers Health Update Following Surgery for the "Worst Injury of My Life"
The RHONJ ex-husband has been recovering from a fall back in February.
Dolores Catania's ex-husband, Frank Catania, is offering an update on his health after he was hospitalized in mid-February for dislocating his kneecap and tearing both of his quads after suffering a fall. He later underwent surgery and is currently recuperating.
"Back on February 10, I suffered what was probably the worst injury of my life. I took a fall and tore both my quads from the bones. On February 12, I had surgery. As @dolorescatania let the entire IG world know, it was going to big my biggest challenge to rebound from this injury. The doctors told me it was going to be 8-12 months before i was back to normal and I had lost nearly 20 lbs from not training," he reflected on Instagram, before sharing some insights into his current status.
"Thanks to @saviorsarms and my trainer @nickworldclass, it's only 5 months after surgery and I’m doing legs again. I have gained back 18 lbs of what I lost and still gaining. They provided the necessary supplements to speed up the recovery and @nickworldclass has more knowledge and experience than any trainer I have ever come in contact with in the 40 years I’ve been in this industry," he said. "I will be back better than before and thank you to @nickworldclass for making it happen."
He added the hashtags "comeback," "goals," and "never quit" to reiterate that he's healing and ready to embark on what's next.
Shortly after Frank's injury, Dolores opened up about her ex-husband's recovery. “It’s a long road,” The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom said in an interview with Page Six. “It’s going to test his strength, and maybe part of my self-growth is going to help him."
And while Frank appears to be back to working out and a more normal routine at the time of the February interview, Dolores shared, “This will be the first time Frank is physically defeated. He’s going to lose his muscles for the first time in his life. Those huge, big legs. Those 20-inch arms. How is Frank mentally going to handle this? What defined him was his body and working out.”
