These days, Dorinda Medley is quite content in her relationship with John Mahdessian. And she's never made it a secret that she's more than fine living independently from the Madame Paulette owner. As it turns out, The Real Housewives of New York City mom has always had a fiercely independent spirit, even when she was married to to the late Richard Medley.

"Make sure no matter where you are in a relationship, that you keep your own relationship strong with your girlfriends and things. Always have a life separate from your new boyfriend," she shared in the latest edition of The Last Thing. "Even when I was married to Richard, I always had my own life, my own girlfriends, my own activities."

Which brings us back to John, or as Dorinda has dubbed him the "Sultan of Stain." You see, being romantically involved with a guy that wields that kind of power certainly has its perks. "I pretty much get whatever I want dry cleaned," she revealed. "I mean, I think a thing came back last week. But the last thing I had dry cleaned was all my cashmere."
