Dr. Imani Walker's relationship with husband Phil Johnson appeared to change very quickly this season of Married to Medicine Los Angeles. But it wouldn't be long before Dr. Imani stunned the Married to Medicine Los Angeles ladies and fans alike when she revealed that she and Phil had decided to get a divorce.

When Dr. Imani appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home on July 12, one viewer wanted to know "if doing the show had anything to do with the issues between you and Phil?"

"When I went into the season as far as the filming, we were where we were. We were getting along — although he was gone — but over time, I think over the first month of filming, I just began to notice things that I just knew really couldn't be resolved," Dr. Imani explained in the above clip. "So I didn't go into this season thinking, 'Oh, let me get divorced and get separated.' That's just kind of how it naturally happened."

Host Andy Cohen then asked Dr. Imani if Phil's stuff was still in her house. "It is, yeah," Dr. Imani said. "It's all in a closet, so at some point..."

"... We're gonna have a bonfire is what we're gonna do," Dr. Imani's fellow WWHL: @ Home guest Dr. Britten Cole chimed in.

Dr. Imani then confirmed that she and Phil are currently separated and are waiting for their divorce to be finalized. "[We are] still in the midst of getting our divorce actually finalized because COVID happened and then everything shut down," she explained. "So we're in the process of just separating our lives completely."

Dr. Imani opened up more about her divorce during an interview with The Daily Dish in June in which she shared how things have been between her and Phil as they navigate the process of ending their marriage. "The last time that we spoke, it was just like, you know what, I’ve come to terms with it, you’ve come to terms with it. He has two children who are older than my son [Idris] that I still am in communication with," she said. "So even though our relationship didn’t work out, we’re still cordial toward each other. I can’t be mad at him because I’m happier now. That’s just what I had to do. I just had to end it."

Dr. Imani sat down with her mom and son in the Married to Medicine Los Angeles Season 2 finale to discuss her divorce, which you can view, below.
