Shep Rose has had some fierce adversaries in his life, and we're talking, of course, about that mechanical bull. (We hope his knee is healing nicely.) But now, it appears that the Southern Charm pal may be in a beef with someone who's just a bit more daunting — we mean, would you want to take on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson? That's right: It appears that the bar owner and the wrestler were just in a feud, and we're reeling just as much as you are.
Here's what went down: Shep recently put up a tweet that expressed his feelings on The Fast and the Furious franchise. The tweet came after Shep saw a Super Bowl ad that promoted the upcoming flick Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. And let's just say, Shep wasn't exactly asking where he can pre-order tickets:
"They are never going to stop making fast and furious movies," he wrote. "My question is..who keeps paying to see them? I don’t know one person that does. Guy Fieri?" And lo and behold, The Rock himself caught wind of the tweet.
He responded: "Hahah crazy right when you think the franchise over the years has made over [$5 billion] globally. Oh and I know one guy who watches.. my buddy Mark Zuckerberg. Crazy right!?"
However, after The Rock's response, Shep had an official change of heart and wrote:
Round one, The Rock! It looks like this beef is officially squashed. But, it looks like Shep is still willing to take on Guy Fieri — all in good fun, of course. He clarified his comments on the restaurateur when he wrote: "The Guy Fieri dig was less about his show, which isn’t bad and shines a light on dive restaurants. But More about the flame across the shirt, wrap around shades, and frosted tips."
No statement yet from Fieri's camp, but we'll be watching!
