Eileen Davidson Is Leaving The Young and the Restless
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum first joined the soap in the 1980s.
Eileen Davidson has confirmed her exit from The Young and the Restless after more than 30 years on the soap.
Following reports that Eileen would be leaving the series, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum confirmed the news on Twitter Wednesday. "Yes I am leaving my second home @YandR_CBS in September. I’ve been so blessed to be able to play Ashley Abbott and work with the amazing people on the show and have nothing but gratitude and love for all!!!" Eileen shared on Twitter. "Time for a little more control over my day to day!"
Eileen has appeared as Ashley Abott on Y&R since the 1980s. She took home the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on Y&R in April. Eileen previously won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Kristen DiMera on Days of Our Lives in 2014.
Fans have watched Eileen hard at work on the set of Y&R during her time on RHOBH. We can even thank her for introducing a new character on the soap, Farrah Dubose, after she gifted Erika Girardi with the chance to appear on Y&R. Erika has appeared in four episodes of Y&R so far, most recently in early June.
