The original story continues below.

Emily Warburton-Adams is mourning the loss of her father, who passed away after a battle with stage 4 colorectal cancer on Wednesday, February 6.

The Below Deck Season 4 stew shared the sad news in a post on Instagram. "This morning, my [father's] suffering ended in his peaceful sleep. After a 6 month cancer battle, he has moved on to a more beautiful realm and will forever be in our hearts," she wrote. "We thank you for all of your support and love."

Emily opened up a bit more about how she was doing during this difficult time in her Instagram Story. "The pain I'm feeling today is unexplainable but it's a relief knowing he's in a better, beautiful place," she said. "Forever in my heart."

Emily first shared the news that her father had been diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer and that it was terminal in an Instagram post published on November 21. She set up a JustGiving page with her sister, Isabella, and her brother, Max, in order to raise funds to be able to fly their father from Malaysia, where he had been diagnosed, immediately hospitalized, and treated last August, to the U.K. to continue his care at home. Her father was eventually able to return home to the U.K. this winter.

Emily shared an update on January 25 that her father's condition had worsened. "I'm updating at this stage because you've been such a wonderful support and we are so grateful for your donations," she wrote on Instagram. "We don't know how the next stage of events will unfold, but it's easier updating now rather [than] later."

Throughout this difficult time, Emily has received lots of love and support from fans and the Below Deck family, including Captain Sandy Yawn, Ben Robinson, Captain Lee Rosbach, Bobby Giancola, Lauren Burchell, Kasey Cohen, Josiah Carter, Kelley Johnson, and Tiffany Copeland.
