Anisha Ramakrishna Has an Emotional Conversation with Her Mom About Freezing Her Eggs

We’re sending a big mazel to Family Karma’s Anisha Ramakrishna, who revealed all to The Daily Dish about her engagement. The proposal took place earlier this year, and now Anisha and her fiancé are in the planning stages for their upcoming wedding and happy ending. Family Karma fans have followed Anisha’s journey, which has included her planning for her future by freezing her eggs. Now that she’s ready to start her next chapter with her partner by her side, she told The Daily Dish that these days she’s “looking forward to building a beautiful life” with her future husband.

Catch up on Family Karma on Peacock or the Bravo App.

You can check out Anisha’s full interview with The Daily Dish below.

The Daily Dish: Tell us about your special guy. How did you know he was the one?

Anisha Ramakrishna: I made a vision board along with a physical list of all the qualities I was looking for in a partner and kept the list in my wallet. I had never done that before. I decided the three most important qualities in a partner for me would be physical attraction, integrity, and ambition. I knew my fiancé was the one when we were enjoying the ocean waves in Miami one weekend, and I asked him Dr. Aron’s 36 questions that lead to love. He answered each question thoughtfully, intelligently, honestly, and patiently.

The Daily Dish: How long have you been together and how quickly did you fall for each other?

Anisha: We have been together for a year and a half. Our first date was a day spent in New York City, our second date was a day spent in Philly, our third date was a weekend split between New York City and Philly, and our fourth date, which is when I fell in love with him, was a weekend in Miami. I think he fell in love with me after a few months — like a normal person!

The Daily Dish: Fans will be excited to learn that you’re engaged. How has this chapter in your life been for you?

Anisha: It’s been a wonderful adventure so far, filled with highs, lows, and a lot of change. I did not mince my words and I was very clear about what I was looking for and what I wanted from a relationship. I mean, I even chose my engagement ring. I’m a geriatric millennial with no time for surprises and guessing games. We both know what we want.

The Daily Dish: How have your Family Karma friends reacted?

Anisha: All my friends are elated. Everyone knows my journey, and my friends from Family Karma have been awesome. They’ve all wished me well and have shown me a lot of love and support. Everyone in the group is truly happy for me.

The Daily Dish: It seems like everyone on Family Karma is engaged or getting married these days, so it must feel special for all of you to share this all. Tell us more about that.

Anisha: It’s an incredible time for most of us. Those of us getting married or engaged are in our mid to late 30s and so it’s been a long time coming. I think the aunties and our families are more excited than we are! I am extremely grateful for the chance to be at both Amrit [Kapai] and Vishal [Parvani]’s respective weddings. We made some amazing memories, and I got to witness my friends getting married to their best friends!

The Daily Dish: Tell us a bit about the wedding and what the two of you are planning.

Anisha: We are planning a small, intimate ceremony at my parents’ home in Miami with just our families. I may have a big personality, but I am actually very low key and it’s what we both wanted. My mom will probably throw a reception party in the spring of next year. Traditionally, I would plan a bachelorette party, a bridal shower, and a honeymoon. However, we all know I am not a traditional girl. Normalize not having all those events!  Our schedules are hectic — we had to schedule our proposal and our wedding ceremony! We also travel a lot, so I like to think we have had many honeymoons. I’m also from Miami, where every day is happy hour and a bachelorette party. I am thrilled with my fiancé, and we have the blessings from our parents, and that’s what is most important to me.

The Daily Dish: What are you most looking forward to after you get married?

Anisha: I don’t know how people manage it all. I had to take time off to focus on my personal life, and I made dating my full-time job. I started dating my fiancé and then shortly after moved in with him. Neither of us had ever lived with anyone before. I think it’s so important for couples to live together before they decide to get married. I’ve experienced a lot of growing pains this past year. Juggling my work, flying every 10 days, and creating time for my relationship and my family… it’s been a learning experience. I’m still trying to figure it all out. I am looking forward to building a beautiful life with my partner, creating lovely new memories with both our families, and dedicating time to my businesses again.
