Frank Catania Reveals Why His Son, Frankie, Stopped Working for Luis “Louie” Ruelas
The Real Housewives of New Jersey dad also teased what’s “different” about the Season 13 reunion.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 reunion continued with Part 2 on June 6, and while much of the drama from the epic showdown focused on the ladies of the Garden State, there appeared to be a new feud brewing backstage between RHONJ husbands Frank Catania and Luis “Louie” Ruelas.
Frank Shares What’s Different About the RHONJ Season 13 Reunion
Moments before the husbands made their way onstage to share their thoughts on this season’s drama, they gathered in separate groups behind the scenes to watch the RHONJ ’Wives hash out their differences. As they witnessed all the chaos unfold, Frank and Joe Gorga noticed how “weird” the Season 13 reunion felt compared with previous ones.
“So, let’s think — what’s the difference in 13 years?” Joe Benigno quipped to Frank and Joe Gorga.
Frank immediately said, “Nate,” to lighten the mood before adding, “There has been such angry, angry arguments in this show, and it has never, ever gotten to the point it has gotten to right now — and the only thing different is Louie.”
Frank Explains His Drama with Louie
As the men of New Jersey continued their guy talk in the dressing room prior to joining the ladies, Joe Gorga gave Frank, Joe Benigno, and John Fuda a pep talk, saying, “You guys ready? This is going to be a little ride.”
Subsequently, Frank expressed the concerns he’s developed about Louie since Season 13 ceased filming. “Normally, I keep my mouth shut. Not today,” he mentioned. “Guys, you know as well as I do, I would never chime in, I’d never jump in on the bandwagon, but the fact that he f-cked me this year for no reason and I did nothing but try to help him.”
Joe Benigno followed Frank’s statement by revealing that there has been an issue between Louie and Frank’s son, Frankie, before Frank agreed, “Yeah.”
Frank Shares Why Frankie Doesn’t Work for Louie Anymore
At this point, previously unseen footage of Frank and Joe Gorga discussing how Frankie lost his job appeared on the screen.
“You know Frankie’s not working for Louie no more,” Frank told Joe Gorga.
“Why?” Joe Gorga asked.
Frank explained that Louie allegedly “closed down” the company. “He didn’t tell Frankie. Frankie was reaching out and called me and said, ‘Dad, what do I do? I’ve been calling Louie and he won’t respond,’” he explained.
Joe Gorga then asked Frank why Louie didn’t give Frankie a heads-up that the business was “shutting down.” Frank said, “That’s the only thing I got a problem with.”
Louie’s Career Past, Explained
This isn’t the first time Louie’s business endeavors have come up on RHONJ. During the Season 12 reunion, Louie revealed that he had been asked to “step down” from his role at the marketing and media company he started years earlier.
“Teresa didn’t want me to say this, but they let me go from my company from all the negative stuff that came up in the press because of my exes out there,” he said at the time.
While this was an unfortunate turn of events for Louie, he did clarify that he didn’t “have any bad feelings towards anyone.”
