Heather Dubrow Shares Update On New Home
The 'RHOC' star is making some progress on her massive #DubrowChateau.
Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow is making some real progress on her new home.
The RHOC star posted a new photo to her Instagram, showing off what's next for the in-the-works house. "The first piece of stone going into our new home!" she shared. "Thanks for letting me help Jaime!" And we have to say, it looks like Heather really does know how to swing that hammer.
Heather has been keeping fans up-to-date on the progress of her "#DubrowChateau" (as she previously dubbed it on social media) on Instagram. She broke ground on the mansion in January 2014. Prior to starting construction on the massive, new place, Heather opened up to the Daily Dish about what the final product will look like.
Once its done, the house will include a large kitchen and family room. "This is an important space for our family and we missed having that in the last house," she said. She's also putting in a "small beauty salon." "It will be complete with shampoo sink and makeup station!" she said.
The new house will be 20,000 square feet and have 8 bedrooms. "For me personally, I don’t need the big house. My husband, that last house was his dream house," she told Metro last April. "When we sold it, he told me we were downsizing, and apparently that’s not what happened. I think the truth is, in life everything is relative. What’s crazy over-the-top for some people is not for others. Do we need the house? No, I feel like my family could probably live in a two-bedroom apartment. We have each other. But we are lucky enough to be able to build this house and its pretty cool and we’re excited about it."
