Heather Dubrow Shares Her Honest Thoughts on Taylor Armstrong’s Acting Skills (UPDATED)

Plus, find out why Andy Cohen is teasing another Malibu Country situation on RHOC Season 17.

By Allison Crist

UPDATE (June 29, 10:07 A.M.): Heather previously teased that the drama over Taylor's debut film would continue to play out on RHOC Season 17, and Episode 4, which aired June 28, was proof of that. Taylor weighed in on everything during the subsequent episode of WWHL — specifically, why the film's production company wanted a casting tape from Heather despite the fact that she has more acting credits than Taylor.

How to Watch

"I think that was a big misunderstanding because Heather was under the impression that I was the lead actress, and I'm much further down the food chain than that," Taylor explained. "And it was [a] first for me, so I did an actual audition for them."

Stay tuned for more.

The original story continues below.

Is Heather Dubrow due for another Malibu Country–esque controversy on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 17? According to Andy Cohen, the answer might be yes.

The host revealed as much during the June 21 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen after a viewer called in to ask Heather for her thoughts on Taylor Armstrong’s acting skills, as the Season 17 newcomer (and former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member) had asked for Heather’s help preparing for her first acting role on Episode 3 of RHOC Season 17, which aired the same day as Heather’s WWHL appearance.

More specifically, the WWHL viewer asked, “How would you rate Taylor’s acting skills during your read-through with her, and do you plan on seeing her movie once it’s released in theaters?”

Heather’s response? “That depends,” she said with a laugh. “Is the invite ever coming for the movie?”

At that point Andy chimed in to reference the aforementioned drama Heather found herself in during Season 8 of RHOC. As he put it, “There’s more to come on this story, my friend. We’ve got a Malibu Country situation on the horizon.”

What is the “Malibu Country situation” Andy referenced?

The Malibu Country drama unfolded on Season 8 of RHOC after Heather revealed she had been offered a guest spot on the sitcom Malibu Country, only for Gretchen Rossi to claim that not only was she also set to star on the show but she allegedly had to film the same day as Tamra Judge’s dress shopping trip. The claim became a point of contention between the two for the rest of the season, and even resulted in Gretchen calling her agent during the reunion.

So what does that mean for Heather and Taylor’s friendship? Only time will tell, but whatever beef the two currently have, Heather didn’t let it affect her opinion of Taylor’s acting chops. Finishing her response to the viewer-submitted question about her castmate’s skills, Heather said, “I have to say, I actually thought she did a really good job.”
