Lala Kent went back to her roots.
In between her preparations for baby No. 2, the Vanderpump Rules cast member packed her bags and headed to her home state of Utah. Lala reflected on the getaway in an August 13 Instagram post, which included several vaycay highlights featuring her 3-year-old daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett.

The carousel showed the preschooler sitting beside her mom while roasting a marshmallow over a firepit. The following photos captured Ocean munching on a s’more and posing next to a Pac-Man arcade mural.
“We went back to my home state of Utah,” the former SUR captioned the post. “Ocean’s favorite part was the gondola and s’mores.”
Is Lala Kent planning to move back to Salt Lake City?
Lala spoke about the family trip in the July 31 episode of her Give Them Lala podcast. The expectant mother said the experience left her “exhausted” and “not refreshed at all.”
“That elevation really kicked my ass,” she admitted. “I’m still deflating from it. I had to get canned oxygen in Park City.”
Although she described the Utah trip as “fun,” Lala said she had no desire to return to the Beehive State — at least, not her hometown of Salt Lake City.
“My chapter of living in Salt Lake has come to an end,” she said. “I don’t have any friends there — or a lot… It’s not like I go back and it’s some big love affair of seeing all of my friends that I went to school with or whatever.”
Lala Kent shares Ocean's honest thoughts about Los Angeles
Lala went on to say that she revisited her old home in Utah just hours before she returned to California. And the neighborhood was exactly how she remembered.
“As we drove by each old house — nothing has changed,” she said. “The neighbors haven’t even updated their outdoor lights on the houses.”
Lala also clarified she and Ocean spent most of their trip in Park City and only went to Salt Lake they needed to “kill time” before heading to the airport.
“[Utah] is beautiful… We didn’t leave Park City,” she said, before sharing her daughter’s positive review. “Ocean loved it. In fact, she told me she didn’t want to leave Park City. She wants to live there and [told me] ‘I hate LA’; that’s what she said.”
