Melissa Gorga Reveals Major Real Estate Plans: "I Need the Best of Both Worlds"

The RHONJ cast member clarified if she's selling her Jersey Shore house, buying property in the Hamptons, and doing more renovations on her family's new home.

From putting their Jersey Shore house on the market in 2021 (only to take it off shortly after) to looking for a Hamptons property to moving into their new primary home in 2022, Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga have been focused on real estate over the past few years.

How to Watch

More recently, The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member gave an update on whether she is still considering selling her vacation home (which you can see in the video above), her thoughts on buying in the Hamptons, and how her family's house is coming along now that they are settled in there.

Is Melissa Gorga selling Her Jersey Shore vacation house?

In 2021, Melissa and Joe put their New Jersey vacation house on the market with plans to buy in the Hamptons. However, as Melissa told The Daily Dish the following year, the couple "got cold feet" and "pulled it off the market."

"I'm not selling the shore house," Melissa added at the time. "Not this year."

Today, Melissa has no plans to say goodbye to the home.

"We're not going to sell the shore house," Melissa told BravoTV.com in a recent interview. "I think I decided that even if we get something in the Hamptons as well, we're not going to. I have the best property for where I grew up. And I'm like, you can't rebuy the piece of property that I have in Toms River."

"My roots are there. I went to high school there," she continued. "I just said to Joe this is actually something...we're going to hold on to this and give it to our kids' kids. There's no reason to let it go as of now. Thank God. So right now we're going to keep it, and I mean, we'll see if it ends up being empty constantly and no one ever goes there, then maybe. But for right now, we're still using it."

Melissa Gorga explains why she's considering buying a house in the Hamptons

"The Hamptons is just somewhere that I go," Melissa told BravoTV.com. "I'll definitely be out there once a month, like, all summer long, but I like to do both [The Hamptons and the Jersey Shore]. You know, I like both. I need the best of both worlds."

"Sometimes I want to put on a flip flop, put my hair in a bun, and get a frickin' hot dog and cotton candy on the boardwalk and sometimes I want to be bougie and go to the Hamptons," she continued. "I can't make up my mind. So I want to do both, you know?"

Is Melissa Gorga's house done with renovations?

As for her main home, Melissa is thrilled to say, "The house is officially done."

"We are so happy. I finally finished," she said. "It wasn't long, though. I think we built that whole house in like a year and a half, which is kind of crazy. But yeah, we're done. The backyard is done. Everything's done. Happy there. We're glad we made the move. I love the new town. It's where Joe and I originally got married and had Antonia, so we kind of came back to home base."
