James Kennedy Two Years Sobriety

Vanderpump Rules' James Kennedy shared an update on his life and sobriety these days.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Peacock and the Bravo app.

Celebrating another year sober, James posted a selfie featuring his pet pooch Graham Cracker, and he reflected on the milestone on Instagram this week, writing, "I'M 2 YEARS SOBER TODAY. Thank you everyone that has supported me and my journey so far. Here’s to many more years alcohol free #forlife (to anyone struggling trust me the light at the end is brighter [than] anything I could [have] imagined. [And] if I can do it you can too)."

He also took to Instagram Stories to thank fans for following his journey and showing him support and how "it inspires me to keep going." "[Every day] I get more clarity. I'm clear headed. I can see where I'm at," he added in his message.

James shared a similar message on Twitter that earned a "Heck yes" comment from pal Ariana Madix. He wrote, "Here’s to many more sober years #forlife."

Back on Instagram, James' Vanderpump Rules castmates showed the DJ love as well. Ariana wrote, "Love to see it!!" Kate Maloney-Schwartz shared, "Congrats James!!!" Scheana Shay commented, "SO proud of you!!" And Lala Kent added, "That’s what’s up, James."

In fact, Lala recently had James DJ a party to celebrate the success of her Give Them Lala Beauty brand. He posted a photo with fiancée Raquel Leviss from the party and reflected on the experience: "Congratulations [Lala]. [The] Give Them Lala event was a complete success. Well done and thanks for having [me] DJ! Raquel my fiancé[e] looked absolutely stunning."

"I love you so much," Raquel shared in the comments.

In an interview with Bravo Insider earlier this year, James highlighted that "sobriety just goes hand in hand with everything that’s been going well." And it looks like things are going well and that James has been busy in 2021. He's back to regular DJ gigs and continues to release music. It was also confirmed earlier this spring that he and Raquel would be among the cast returning for Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules. Let's not forget that James and Raquel got engaged back in May.
