Kristen Doute Moves into a “Total Upgrade” of a New Apartment for “Extra $73 a Month"
With a large living space, sleek kitchen, and airy bedroom, Kristen Doute teased there was "room to play" in the new space.
Kristen Doute’s moving on up in the world after getting a “total upgrade” of an apartment.
The T-shirt designer shared the new digs — which conveniently happen to be located just down the hall from her old abode — in a preview clip of The Valley.
“Moving into this apartment with Luke [Broderick], yeah, it’s an apartment, but it’s a total upgrade,” she shared. “So, for an extra $73 a month I get to have a nicer, bigger unit.”
Where do Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick live?
The updated apartment, located in The Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, has a large living area with dark floors, cream walls, white baseboards, and two large sliding glass doors that open onto an outdoor patio space. The easy access to the outdoors is sure to be an advantage for Kristen’s pups, who pop up regularly on the show.
The kitchen, which features dark cabinets and tan granite, looks out onto the living area, creating an open floor plan.
“I am so ready to have a new space,” Kristen told Luke as they packed up her belongings for the short move down the hall.
The apartment also has a large bedroom with fresh, neutral walls, tan carpeting and three windows to let in plenty of natural light. And just like any good fashion designer needs, the bedroom has its own large walk-in closet with built-in shelving. Kristen owns the vintage-inspired brand James Mae, which currently offers its own line of The Valley-inspired tees.
Kristen and Luke, who will be living in the space together, were eager to break in the new apartment.
“There’s room to play,” Kristen teased. “I mean we have an entire drawer of sex toys.”

While Kristen is excited about her future in the new space, she wasn’t so eager to revisit the past.
The preview clip also revealed that Kristen was still fuming about Jax Taylor’s decision to invite her ex, Alex Menache, to a guy’s night out where Luke was already in attendance.
Kristen brought up the incident while she and Luke were sitting on the empty living room floor picking out knobs for a home renovation project.
“Whatever makes you happy, honey,” Luke told her.
“What would make me happy is Jax not pulling a f-cking Jax last night,” she replied. “We literally just had this talk where I said I don’t care if you are friends with my ex-boyfriend, just please don’t bring him around me and don’t bring him around like Luke or like my family.”
Just days earlier at a lunch with Kristen, Jax admitted that it was difficult for him to juggle the two friendships.
“You do understand though I was friends with your ex and I’m between two friends who don’t get along anymore,” he said.
Kristen made sure Jax knew that she was “more important.”
“I agree, you do have a little bit more seniority,” Jax replied.
Yet, Jax still made the bold move of inviting Alex to the event in the hopes that all of his male friends could get along.
Luke made it clear he wouldn’t be sparking any new friendships with Alex anytime soon.
“Kristen has told me that her ex was very difficult; their relationship still triggers her,” Luke told producers. “Jax knows her triggers. Jax knows how to make her freak out. I don’t think it’s something friends do to friends.”
Back at the new apartment, Luke told Kristen he was just glad that Jax gave him a heads up about the surprise addition to the night before Alex arrived.
“The only saving grace of the night was that he pulled me aside first,” he said. “Like I would have been, it would have been a total blindside and extra sh-tty.”
