Jax Taylor's 2-Year-Old Son Really Is His Mini-Me — He "Loves" This Unusual Restaurant
Given Jax and Brittany's history with this eatery, 2-year-old Cruz Cauchi may be set for life (in terms of chicken wings).
The Valley’s Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have a long history with one famous restaurant chain, so it might come as little surprise that the couple’s toddler son has similar tastes.
The former Vanderpump Rules couple’s 2-year-old son, Cruz Cauchi, is growing into a man with refined taste, it seems, as Jax said, interview with Rolling Stone that Cruz “loves” Hooters.
It’s no massive shock that Hooters — famous for its chicken wings and waitress uniforms — would be Cruz’s favorite restaurant, especially since his mama was inducted into the Hooters Hall of Fame and Jax is a life-long membership holder, he explained to Rolling Stone.
“We don’t pay for anything,” Jax told the outlet in May 2023, adding that he gets “100 percent off for life.”
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's History with Hooters
On March 2, 2023, the proud parents posted a photo on the toddler’s verified Instagram page, showing Cruz in a high chair beside a Hooters waitress. Several follow-up photos showed Cruz smiling away in a green-and-white checkered flannel hoodie while sitting inside the Long Beach, California location.
“Didn’t want to make Ocean and Summer jealous,” the caption stated, referring to Lala Kent’s daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett, and Scheana Shay and Brock Davies’ daughter, Summer Moon, respectively.

It is a journey to get to Hooters now, though, Jax admitted.
“It’s tough, though, because there aren’t many locations left, so we travel to them,” Jax told Rolling Stone. “When we take our son to the aquarium in Long Beach, there’s a Hooters attached, and we make a day of it. We go to the aquarium, take our son [for] ice cream, and go to Hooters.”
Brittany worked for six years with the chicken wing chain before her time as a SURver for Lisa Vanderpump. Months after joining Vanderpump Rules as a series regular, Brittany and Kristen Doute — also heading to The Valley — headed to Clearwater, Florida, in 2018 so Brittany could be inducted into Hooters’ H.O.F.
“I’m so honored!” Brittany said in an Instagram Story at the time.
It’s worth noting that Brittany was also a judge in the Hooters’ 22nd Annual Pageant.
In 2015, the Kentucky-raised Bravolebrity referred to the Lexington location as her “old stomping grounds” when she and Jax visited and posed with the staff.
And few could forget when Jax “resuscitated” — as Tom Schwartz put it — the male romper for the former’s 38th birthday. Jax and Brittany celebrated with a trip to Hooters’ Downtown Los Angeles location, as highlighted on Brittany’s Instagram.
Hooters was also a huge part of Jax and Brittany’s 2019 wedding, as posted by Hooters’ 2024 Calendar Girl Row Mumford.
“Thank you so much, [Jax] and [Brittany], for letting us be a part of your perfect day,” she captioned several photos, including one of eight uniformed waitresses at the wedding.
An attached video showed the newlyweds running into the reception, excitedly welcomed by the waitresses’ applause.
Shortly before their nuptials, the pair stopped at the famous wing establishment to fill up before saying “I do,” as published in one of Jax’s IG stories, according to The Daily Dish.
“Ten breaded hot, all flats, no drumsticks, ranch dressing, and crab legs,” Brittany ordered.
In 2020, Jax and Kristen helped Brittany have a “special” birthday celebration featuring a surprise visit from the Hooters girls.
Cruz is expected to appear in The Valley, where his parents “trade bottle service in West Hollywood for baby bottles in the Valley,” according to the show’s bio. Fans will have to wait and see if bottles of ranch and hot sauce are also on the menu.
Also appearing in the series will be Kristen’s new beau, Luke Broderick, and couples Jason and Janet Caperna, Jesse and Michelle Lally, and Danny and Nia Booko. Jasmine Goode and Zack Wickham join as Friends of the series.
The Valley is slated to premiere on Bravo in spring 2024.
