James Kennedy has been hanging around the Vanderpump Rules crew since Season 2, so it's no surprise that he has a deep history with many of the current cast members and alums.
During Jax Taylor's tenure on the show, he had an on-and-off friendship with James. Their issues with one another escalated to a heated exchange during the Season 7 reunion back in 2019, but the House of Villains cast member just shared a surprising update on how he feels about the DJ today.

Jax Taylor Reveals Where He Stands with James Kennedy Today
On December 13, Jax shared a post on Instagram with the ominous caption, "I am back…..and it’s only the beginning," along with a hashtag that serves as a nod to his time on Vanderpump Rules, which read, "number one guy in the group." In the comments section, a fan mentioned James' name.
Jax then revealed that he is currently on good terms with the DJ.
"I love James...." Jax wrote in response to the fan. "He has the most sense on the show if you ask me."
Jax Taylor's Role on Vanderpump Rules Season 11
During BravoCon 2023 in November, the producers of Vanderpump Rules confirmed that Jax would be appearing on the upcoming season. What's more, one particular moment will show him having a conversation with his former best friend, Tom Sandoval.
"There’s going to be this amazing moment with Jax Taylor where he has the opportunity to talk, for lack of a better word, to Tom Sandoval,” Executive Producer Sheonna Mix shared during the "Spilling Vanderpump Tea with Bravo Producers" panel.
An extended teaser trailer for the season highlighted a moment featuring Jax as well. In the clip, Jax sits down with his former boss, Lisa Vanderpump, for a tense moment.
"You wrote me off!" he tells her, which you can check out by watching the video at the top of this post.
"You're such a f-cking hypocrite!" she says in response. Viewers will have to tune in to find out what exactly the two are talking about.
Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premieres on Tuesday, January 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Stream Seasons 1 through 10 on Peacock now.
