Jeff Lewis and Andy Cohen Confront Each Other About Some Unresolved Issues
The Bravolebs recently aired their grievances with one another on Radio Andy.
Jeff Lewis and Andy Cohen have been longtime friends, but we all know that even the best of buds don't always get along. It seems as though these Bravolebs had some things they wanted to get off their chest during a recent conversation on Radio Andy.
Jeff told Andy that he wasn't happy that he continued to joke about wanting to date Gage Edward, as he had always done when they were a couple, even after the two had broken up at the beginning of this year. "You did mention something about bringing Gage, and that did hurt my feelings because, you know, it was different when we were dating and you would joke, but now that we're not together, and it was a tough breakup," the Flipping Out designer said. "So I just wanted to say that I prefer you not to say that."
Andy apologized to Jeff for making the comment. "I'm sorry that I did because it was in my mind that I had stopped the second it was over," he said.
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host also noted that he was always joking about Gage and would never seriously ask him out. "No, I know that it is a joke and just after someone breaks up, it's no longer a joke," Jeff said.
Since it seemed like he and Jeff were airing all their grievances, Andy said there was something he wanted to bring up with the Flipping Out designer as well. "I thought it was odd that I never heard from you after the birth of my child," Andy said.
Jeff said he was surprised to hear that because he remembered asking Andy about sending a baby gift, and he said not to. "I'm so sorry if I didn't, but I mean, you were always in my thoughts, and I did ask to send a gift," Jeff said. "I apologize."
He then admitted that he was a little caught off-guard when he heard the news about Andy's little boy, Benjamin, whom he welcomed via surrogate in February. "OK, I'm gonna be honest with you. I was a little shocked when I found out you had a baby," Jeff said. "You were kind of the last person that I thought — at this stage — would have a child."
Andy said he thought maybe Jeff was upset with him because he didn't share his happy news with him sooner. "I have a big mouth, I can't keep a secret, I understand why you wouldn't tell me," Jeff shared. "No, I was just surprised that you were having a child because I feel like doing it on your own is so brave, and it's not something I ever would have been able to do on my own. So even though my relationship is now just crashed and burned, I never would have had Monroe if it weren't, if Gage wasn't by my side."
The two seemed to still be in a good place after they got some clarity on these issues, and they went on to discuss Jeff's journey in co-parenting with Gage following their split.
