Here’s Where Jeff Lewis and Bethenny Stand Today After *That* WWHL Appearance
The Flipping Out alum revealed what happened when he called Bethenny to discuss their WWHL beef.
Jeff Lewis and Bethenny Frankel may not have seen eye to eye when they appeared together on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, but there’s no reason to flip out about it.
The Jeff Lewis Live host appeared alongside Bethenny on the December 7 episode of the late-night talk series, and the twosome truly mentioned it all by discussing everything from her wedding plans to his friendships to her Real Housewives recap podcast, ReWives.
The latter topic caused a bit of tension between the two guests, as the Flipping Out alum asked Bethenny to explain why her rewatch podcast was different from others, which she thought was “shad[y].”
After the episode aired, The Real Housewives of New York City OG wrote on Instagram that her team and her daughter, Bryn Hoppy, felt there was “a decent dose of shade” in the Clubhouse.
During a chat with E! News, Jeff shared that he found out Bethenny was “very unhappy” with him after WWHL, so he decided to reach out to her to explain.
“When you have your team and they’re now, ‘Wow, he was really rude’ or ‘He was disrespectful’ or whatever, no,” Jeff said about how he thought their conversation was just lighthearted banter at the time. “I was having fun, and she was somebody that I thought, ‘This is somebody that I could have a good time with.’”
Jeff recounted what he told Bethenny during their phone call.
“I can say something with intent, but it doesn’t mean you’re receiving it that way,” he continued. “And that’s what we had to kind of explain.”
Though he said that Bethenny later declined an invitation to co-host his podcast, Jeff Lewis Has Issues, he doesn’t believe there is any bad blood between them.
“I think we’re good,” he concluded.
