Jill Zarin's Parting Shot at Ramona
But she insists "It's all good" at season's end.
Another season of tiffs and tempests in the testy relationship between Jill Zarin and Ramona Singer drew to a close last night with the season finale of The Real Housewives of New York City, but not before we saw a season's worth of squabbles over everything from parenting and public displays of affection to pinot, Turtle Time and the merits of appearing in music videos.
But just how deep does the never far from the surface on-screen animosity between Jill and Ramona run? "Ramona loves to push my buttons," Jill said in a revealing interview with NBC Miami this week. "She lives for it! She knows exactly what to do that is going to get me."
But Jill chalks up the fireworks that continually flare between them to simple human chemistry — though of a highly combustible kind. "What I have learned is that I can't help what she is going to do; she will cheat or lie to get what she wants, but it's all about how I react to her."
As for her four seasons as the lightening rod for much of the 'Wives bickering, Jill, who has parlayed her stardom into successful business ventures and even a recent acting turn on White Collar, said she has suffered the slings and arrows gladly. "I love it. I always love it. It's all good," she tells NBC Miami. "The show is a platform for me to promote charity and do good things and at the end of the day, I don't think people remember the details. It's sort of like being at camp where we have to play together, but we always don't get along. It's fun watching us fight, make up, fight, make up and I think that is what the audience loves."
