Here's Why Kandi Burruss Didn’t Think She’d “Fit In” on RHOA

She opened up about what it was like to become a RHOA cast member back in Season 2.

It’s just about impossible to imagine The Real Housewives of Atlanta without cast member Kandi Burruss. The talented multi-hyphenate joined the series in Season 2, but with many seasons under her belt, she’s surprised she’s still here. While answering questions straight from Bravo Insiders in the exclusive clip above, the Georgia peach opened up about why she initially felt like an outsider among the cast.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

In response to a Bravo Insider who asked, “Did you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta before you joined the show?” Kandi revealed, “Yes! I saw Season 1. I really loved it. I thought it was hilarious. So, honestly, when they asked me to be a part of the show, I didn’t think that I would fit in. So now, it’s so funny to me that I’m still here after all these years, because I really thought it was going to be like a one season, just come and hang out for a minute and be like, ‘Okay, it was great, goodbye.’ And now here it is, 12 seasons later for me, and I’m still here.”

Over the years, Kandi has shared some of the biggest moments of her life with fans of RHOA: from her wedding to husband Todd Tucker, to the addition of their children Ace and Blaze, to the emotional college sendoff of her oldest daughter, Riley
