Kandi Burruss Shares How She Really Feels About Kim Zolciak and Their Past Drama
Following Kim's cameo on RHOA Season 15, Kandi is looking back at their "Don't Be Tardy" tiff.
Kim Zolciak-Biermann made a brief return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Season 15, Episode 9 to have dinner with Shereé Whitfield, Lisa Wu, and DeShawn Snow, and while Kandi Burruss wasn't present, her name did come up at one point. And now, Kandi's sharing her side of the story.
What Kim Zolciak Said About Kandi Burruss on RHOA
Kim shared that she and Kandi had a seemingly sweet interaction at Porsha Williams' wedding. "Kandi gave me a hug [and] I was like, 'Okay, girl, Taurus to Taurus...'" Kim said before Shereé interjected to ask if the two had "squashed everything," a.k.a. the drama resulting from their collaboration on the song, "Don't Be Tardy for the Party."
Kim's response? "Just because I hugged her doesn't mean I squashed it."
"I just sang a f-cking song," she added of the drama. "And it went really big and I enjoyed it. That's it."
Kandi Burruss' Response to Kim Zolciak's RHOA Comments
On June 9's subsequent episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta After Show, Kandi reflected on Kim's cameo as well as what the alum had to say about her.
"We were very cordial at Porsha's wedding. It was good energy," Kandi began. "The thing with Kim, I feel like it was business between friends that went wrong. And sometimes, you just shouldn't do business with friends."
"Sometimes I even put it on myself," Kandi continued. "Because I'm like, okay, whatever our agreement was supposed to be, I should have, you know, been more like, 'Okay, let's put this in writing,' instead of just being like, 'Okay, just throw the song up.'"
But while Kandi sees the song drama as "not that deep" anymore, she does have a bit of a different issue with Kim. "I did move on when she came back the last time, but then she came out of the blue with the story talking about how I wanted her," Kandi recalled, referencing a RHOA Season 10 conversation Kim had with Shereé. "So, that's what made me look at her a little sideways again."
In the grand scheme of things, though, "Kim and I had a lot of good moments together on camera, but off camera too," Kandi concluded. "Because we used to take family trips together, our kids were friends, [and] we used to really kick it. So, that's why I have just as many good moments to reflect on that kinda overshadow the negative."
