Kara Keough Bosworth Brought Her Son’s Ashes Home
RHOC alum Jeana Keough's family is mourning the baby's loss.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Kara Keough Bosworth has taken home the ashes of her son McCoy Casey Bosworth, who passed away shortly after birth earlier this month. She shared an Instagram of what PEOPLE has reported is a box of ashes surrounded by a beautiful floral arrangement.
She captioned the poignant image, "Welcome home, baby boy."
RHOC alum Vicki Gunvlason, who appeared on the first season of RHOC along with Kara's mom, Jeana Keough, showed support for the family in the comments section, writing, "Oh Kara, this breaks my heart. Been thinking about you and so proud of your strength. Peace be with you and Kyle."
Kara announced she was expecting her second child with husband Kyle Bosworth back in October 2019. (They are parents to a 4-year-old daughter, Decker). On April 14, she confirmed the child's passing in an Instagram post, confirming that "during the course of his birth [on April 6], he experienced shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord."
On Instagram, Kara noted that the family had made the decision to donate McCoy's organs.
Kara's brother, Shane Keough, also paid tribute to McCoy on his Instagram Stories, writing, "Welcome Home McCoy."
