Kari Responds to Dr. Heavenly's Comments About Her Husband at the Married to Medicine Reunion
The dentist ended the sit-down with some jaw-dropping statements about the Married to Medicine friend's relationship.
Everyone knows that Dr. Heavenly Kimes calls her husband, Dr. Damon Kimes, "Daddy." But that doesn't mean anyone else can use that nickname for the Married to Medicine husband.
Kari Wells learned that the hard way when she cheekily told Dr. Heavenly, "Daddy was behaving. We double checked," while meeting up at dinner during the group's trip to Washington, D.C. in Season 8.
Dr. Heavenly replied, "You don't call my husband 'Daddy.' He's Dr. Damon to you," to which Kari said, "OK, sorry, darling. Dr. Damon Daddy."
During Part 3 of the Married to Medicine reunion, which aired on July 18, host Andy Cohen read a fan question asking the ladies if they like seeing Dr. Heavenly "get as good as she gives" when it comes to shade in that moment. "I do," Toya Bush-Harris said during the sit-down. "When Heavenly go at it, Heavenly can be hilarious."
Dr. Heavenly then reflected on that moment with Kari. "I have a history of going too far," she admitted. "When she said 'Dr. Damon Daddy,' I was about to say something about Duncan [Kari's husband]."
The dentist went on to bring up some rumors about the origins of Kari's relationship with her husband that go all the way back to Season 1 of Married to Medicine. "But that was too far," Dr. Heavenly noted after bringing up the speculation. "That's why I didn't say it, Andy. That's why I wouldn't say that."
Andy then told Dr. Heavenly that "some viewers were impressed with your restraint" during that moment with Kari. However, he said, "I don't know if they still are," to which Dr. Heavenly responded with a laugh.
Kari later set the record straight on Twitter as Part 3 of the Married to Medicine reunion came to a close. "Heavenly, stop making up lies about me [and] my life, (which [you] know nothing about)," Kari tweeted, also adding on Instagram, "Especially when I am not there to defend myself."
In addition to commenting on the latest Married to Medicine drama, Kari mostly shares all about her life with her orthopedic surgeon husband of nearly 20 years and their two children on her social media.
In fact, one thing we're sure that Kari and Dr. Heavenly can agree on is their love for their respective spouses. Dr. Heavenly just showed her hubby a lot of that over the weekend as friends and family came together to celebrate Dr. Damon's 51st birthday. "Today we celebrate you baby! I love you! 51. And. Amazing!" Dr. Heavenly gushed about Dr. Damon in one post on Instagram on July 17. "I’m so glad I married you!"
