You Won't Believe Which Below Deck Yachtie Really Wants to Be the Godfather of Kate Chastain's Baby
The former chief stew is feeling the love of the Below Deck family as she prepares to become a first-time mom.
The Below Deck family is coming together to show love and support for Kate Chastain, who is currently expecting her first child. In fact, Below Deck's current chief stew, Fraser Olender, has offered his services to play a very important role in the life of the former chief stew's baby.
"We absolutely do [keep in touch], I speak to her quite often and I’m lucky to do so," Fraser recently shared during a fan Q&A with Bravo earlier this month. "I’m forcing her to make me the godfather of her baby. She’s not buying it just yet [laughs]."
Not only is Fraser friends with Kate, but he's also a longtime fan of hers from her days as chief stew on Below Deck, he noted in the conversation with fans. "I started watching Below Deck before I joined the industry and I do feel like I channeled Kate through a lot of my stew experience. I don’t think Kate can ever be replaced," he said about the Below Deck Galley Talk cast member. "I just do the absolute best I can to get as close to how much fans have a love for her."
Kate first confirmed her pregnancy back in December 2022. When she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen at the time, she revealed how her career in yachting has her ready for all the challenges of motherhood. "I think being a chief stew really trained me for it," she said, prompting Andy Cohen to reply, "I do too."
And, duh, being a chief stew also means she'll throw her kids the best parties, as she hinted at last December, writing on Instagram, "I’m already planning so many birthday theme parties for you."
