To support her sister, who is currently battling cancer, Kathy Griffin did the ultimate thing by shaving her head. The comedian's new look was posted to social media and PEOPLE reports that while it's unclear what type of cancer Kathy's sister is battling, she is currently going through chemotherapy.
Kathy's mother, Maggie Griffin, applauded her daughter for showing her other child show much support.
According to PEOPLE, this is the second time Kathy has had a sibling battle cancer. Her brother Gary died from stage-four esophageal cancer in 2014 after a two-year battle. He was 63. Kathy remembered him on Instagram at the time of his passing, writing that he was "he was funny as s***."
In recent months, Kathy came under fire following a controversial anti-Donald Trump photo shoot which featured her holding up a replica of the President's bloody and decapitated head. She later apologized for the incident on Twitter, writing, "I am sorry. I went too far. I was wrong."
