Tom Sandoval Clarifies His Hot Mic Moment on the VPR Finale: "What I Meant Was..."
Tom Sandoval also reacted to the nostalgic last moments of the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 finale.
Tom Sandoval is ready to set the record straight on the hot mic moment that took place at the tail end of the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 finale.
His remark came after Ariana Madix stormed out of the cast's final party — a move that Tom Schwartz called "a f-cking plot twist" in a hot mic moment of his own. An off-camera Sandoval could then be heard saying, "I love it. It's good for me."
Andy Cohen questioned why Sandoval would imply "that Ariana leaving looks good for [him]," during the May 7 episode of Watch What Happens Live, but Sandoval said that wasn't his intention.
"That wasn't what I meant," he clarified. "What I meant was I did my job and everything came together. That's what I meant — that throughout the season we have to obviously have those tough conversations and I felt good that I at least showed up and did my job."

Tom Sandoval's Reaction to the Emotional Final Moments of the Season 11 Finale
Later on WWHL, Sandoval gave his take on the finale ending as a whole (which he and the rest of the cast didn't get to watch until the reunion taping).
"It's crazy. It was emotional watching that at the reunion. It was really crazy to see what we've gone through," Sandoval said, before turning to his fellow WWHL guest and The Valley cast member Jax Taylor. "And Jax, obviously you know too as well, when we first started out, what we thought this was going to be versus what it actually became. And I remember specifically, literally the second day of filming, sh-t got real and you and Stassi [Schroeder] broke up and there was this huge divide. And we've never turned back since then."
"We've always kept it real," Sandoval continued. "Look, does it suck going through that, to have that one conversation you gotta have with the one person you don't want to have it with? Yes it does, but at least there's a pride in the sense that we're really putting ourselves out there."
One such conversation he felt he needed to have was, of course, with Ariana. She refused, though.
Looking back, Sandoval said, "Do you think it was easy for me to walk up to her in front of everybody like that? No, it was really hard. And I didn't have the support system around me. And the one thing about our show is we do have to pull permits, we do have a limited amount of time, and we do have to get things done in a certain time whether you're ready or not. You're never ready to have those tough conversations, but that's what we do. That's your job."
