Kelly Bensimon Reveals How Her Daughters Heading to College Will Change Her Dating Life
The single Big Apple mom teased "it’s off to the races."
It's been about a decade since Kelly Bensimon and her ex-husband, Gilles Bensimon, went their separate ways and now the Big Apple mom shares that once her youngest daughter, Thaddeus, heads off to Trinity College this fall, this single mom will be more than up for some mingling, telling the New York Post that "it’s off to the races” when it comes to her dating life once both her daughters are out of the house.
As for potential mates, The Real Housewives of New York City mom notes that these are her rules: “No smoking, can’t be a partier," and added, “I can tell immediately if you’re a douche canoe."
And, she wouldn't mind a guy to be a little gutsy. “No one ever asks me out!” she explained. “I don’t think I’m intimidating. I think they don’t believe that I’m as nice as I am.”
These days, Kelly sounds like she's just looking to have some fun on the dating scene, as she teased when it came to teasing her potential online dating profile: “I’m an empty nester and I’m ready to do almost anything!”
By the way, Kelly's younger daughter may be readying herself for university life later this year, but her older daughter, Sea, headed off to the University of Mississippi last fall.
