Kristen Doute Reacts to Not Being Invited to Katie and Tom’s Vegas Wedding
The Vanderpump Rules cast member seemed absolutely crushed.
This season, Kristen Doute found out that Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Tom Schwartz were having a second wedding in Las Vegas (since their first one wasn't technically official on paper) and she was not invited. To make matters worse, Kristen soon learned that she wasn't just not invited to the celebration — she was banned. But once the Vanderpump Rules Season 8 After Show rolled around, Kristen finally got to react to the situation.
In the video above, Kristen explains, "It's one of those things that you just — It's not the end of the world, but it is kind of like a forever thing. Like, I missed Tom and Katie's engagement. So, those things... I try not to, like, put that all in my head to say, 'Well, does that mean something?' But does it?"
Kristen was clearly hurt by her ban from the Vegas wedding. However, she wasn't the only cast member to react to these events on the After Show. Katie defended her actions with some support from Stassi Schroeder, who was also on the outs with Kristen at that point in time. Stassi noted that Kristen was only speaking to Katie to discuss their wine brand, Witches of Weho.
In the clip, Katie says, "It just wasn't conceivable to have her there when I was trying to actively take a break from her... In the hopes to salvage our friendship and what it could eventually be — and could still eventually be, if we could just..."
"Get it together," Stassi chimed in, finishing Katie's sentence.
Although the strong rift was mostly between Kristen and Katie, Tom had his own thoughts about the situation, calling it "complicated." He actually seemed upset his friend couldn't attend, but explained why banning her was probably for the best.
Find out what Tom had to say about all of this — and watch everyone else air out their own feelings — in the video above!
