Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula's working relationship has been a point of contention on Season 8 of Summer House, and when Amanda approached Kyle about starting her own business on Episode 12, the conversation got heated, leading him to go on an explosive rant.
In the Summer House Season 8 After Show video above, Kyle and Amanda (who oversees creative at Kyle's beverage company Loverboy) share more about their feelings regarding Amanda exploring her own passions and potentially starting a swimsuit line.
"I didn't realize until that moment that Amanda didn't understand, you know, you're a full-time employee and contributor [at Loverboy], and I have to kind of beg you to kind of step up to the plate, and now you're telling me you want to go do something else," Kyle says in the clip above. "When I think of passions and hobbies and interests, I think of learning how to paint, not starting another business."
"I think that's what threw me for a loop," he continues. "I'm like, 'What you're talking about is starting another business, which is cool, but we don't have any spare time for that right now.'"

Amanda Batula explains why she wants to start her own business
Amanda shared more about why she wants to start a new company in the video above.
"I want something of my own that I could have and own and be excited about," she says.
However, she hopes Kyle will be a part of the process.
"I want him to be involved in it in some way because he is such a good businessman, he is such a good entrepreneur," she explains. "I'd be able to benefit from him helping me out so much."
"A part of me is like, 'I helped you with the creative side kicking your brand off the ground,'" she says, referencing her decision to quit her full-time job to run the creative for Loverboy. "'Can you reciprocate that a little bit and help me with the business side to kick off something I want to do?'"
