Kyle Richards introduces her new Bernese mountain dog
The video showed the furry friend playing in Kyle’s backyard, where she got acquainted with her new surroundings and the other family pets. Kyle said she learned about the Bernese mountain dog from an Instagram follower who had to give up the pup for personal reasons. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom immediately offered assistance and agreed to take the “beautiful baby” and find her a new home.
“I purposely didn’t name her so I didn’t get attached while I was looking for the right home for her,” Kyle continued. “Well, I found one… I have always wanted a Bernese Mountain dog and it felt like she was meant to be ours…”
Kyle went on to say that she and her family couldn’t agree on what to name the puppy, so she called on her fans for suggestions. The post was quickly flooded with name ideas and tons of gushing comments. RHOBH’s Crystal Kung Minkoff wrote, “OMG I love her!!!!”; Erika Jayne declared, “I must meet her!!!!”; and Sutton Stracke simply left a skull and crossbones emoji.
Kyle Richards' Ever-Growing Fur Family
Of course, Kyle is no stranger to puppy-parent life, as indicated by the post’s “oops I did it again” hashtag. Since joining the RHOBH in 2010, Kyle has shared several looks at her family pets, including a golden retriever named Bambi, a Pomeranian named Romeo, a pair of German shepherds named Luna and River; as well as the mixed-breed dogs named Storm and Smokey.
Kyle spoke about her family’s pets in a 2018 interview with BravoTV.com, when she shared a few tidbits about the adorable pack and how they played a big role in her decision to remain at her Encino home.
“There was one point after our house was burglarized that I thought, ‘You know, I may have to sell the house,’” she said. “But then I look at my dogs and see how much they love this house and I think, ‘I can never leave.’ They’re so happy and it makes me so happy sitting out here in the morning, drinking my coffee on the porch in my rocking chair, watching my dogs.”
