Lala Kent Reveals There's Been “Lots of Happiness” in the Past Year: Here's Why
The Vanderpump Rules cast member is thriving at 33 — even if she does battle the occasional split end.
Lala Kent's 33rd year kicked off with a bang — and a fabulous cake — back in August. Though her birthday wasn't until September 2, the Vanderpump Rules cast member started her festivities early. And from the looks of things, she's been celebrating the good life ever since.
Back in August, Lala blew out the candles on a multi-tiered confection that matched her jet-black birthday dress. With dark frosting, the cake was flecked with gleaming gold pieces and cascading beads. The dessert also had tall glitzy candles that gave Lala the perfect opportunity to close her eyes and make a wish for the year ahead.
Though Lala kept her wish private, as one does, we're guessing that her hopes included a fabulous year for her daughter Ocean Kent Emmett, career milestones, and deep friendships. And if that's the case, her wishes have been granted so far.
In a recent Instagram post, the Give Them Lala mogul reflected on life at 33 years old, and revealed that it's been filled with "happiness."
Lala Kent turns 33, shares an update on her life
In an October 5 Instagram post, Lala dropped a carousel of photos documenting sweet moments from the past couple of months. The photos saw Ocean cuddling with her friends, driving a toy car, and scrunching her nose up in a delighted smile as she took a ride on a carousel.
Lala also shared a peek at herself unboxing an award, hosting a charity gala that benefitted drug prevention, and hanging out with her Vanderpump Rules castmate Ally Lewber. And oh, yes, she also shared a closeup shot of a rather intense split end.
In her caption, Lala wrote: "33 has brought me lots of happiness so far. Ocean told me she wants a baby brother. She got her first G Wagon and her at 16 flashed before my eyes. I hosted the [Brent Shapiro Founation] Spectacular for drug prevention."
Lala's post continued: "I found the craziest split end I’ve ever seen [and] it reminded me why I’m not wanting to be blonde anymore (my greys may prevent that from happening tho.) I opened my MTV award, [and] Ocean gave major cheese at our monthly Disneyland visit."
The mama wrapped up her post by sharing. "I have no complaints."
Though her actual birthday has passed, Lala has another important milestone coming up. On October 22, she will celebrate 5 years of sobriety. On last year's sober anniversary, Lala shared a touching update with her followers.
“Today marks [four] years of sobriety," she wrote. "Being present for my daughter… that part is priceless. I’m grateful [and] extremely humbled by each [sober] birthday that passes. But y’all, I am proooooud! Hell yessss, Lala. You better work, girl.”
