Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Dallas came to a close with Part 2 of the reunion on January 8. During the sit-down with host Andy Cohen, the ladies had an in-depth discussion about LeeAnne Locken's controversial comments about Kary Brittingham this season.

"I know every bone in my body, and I know I don't have a single bone that believes in discrimination," LeeAnne said.

She later admitted that her comments were "a mistake." "I agree that was an error," she said. "And so I said things I should never have said, and I shouldn't have used those words."

When Andy asked Kary for her reaction to watching LeeAnne's comments about her this season, she broke down in tears. "I mean, my kids are from Mexico, my family," she shared. "I can't even look at her. She's never once apologized to me."

LeeAnne said that she was told not to reach out to Kary by RHOD production, but Andy promptly said that was "not true." She then explained, "I honestly feel so much hatred from her that it's so hard for me to even like, I'm uncomfortable doing it because I'm like what's gonna happen?"

In fact, LeeAnne said that she hadn't spoken to any of the ladies about her statements since this season of RHOD ended. "I was really unhappy with myself," she said. "I spent a lot of hours crying over this and realizing how horrible this was."

Kary told LeeAnne, "I don't feel like you care [the] least bit to have hurt me."

LeeAnne said that she has learned the error of her ways since this season of RHOD. "It was a mistake, I was ignorant, I have educated myself, and moving forward, I know that this is wrong," she shared.

Though LeeAnne's comments have rocked the world of RHOD and caused a stir among fans, Andy brought up that the ladies "thought that this was never gonna air."

"LeeAnne's a very strong person, and I think she's brought a lot to the show, and I think that in a lot of ways, we felt that they've protected her," Brandi Redmond explained during the reunion.

Kameron Westcott said that she "100 percent" thought LeeAnne's comments were going to get cut. "I never thought it would see the light of day," Stephanie Hollman said.

Whether or not LeeAnne's comments made it to air, Kameron said that she always planned on telling Kary what was said. "I would have 100 percent told you still. A hundred percent, yes," she said. "But I also didn't want to give that light, when she was doing it, give that light to that at the same time because I automatically knew how horrible it was, and I didn't want her to continue to do it. And she kept doing it, and that's why I brought it to your attention because this has gone way too far."

Kary later said that she didn't believe LeeAnne's plea of ignorance. "LeeAnne, I just can't imagine a 52-year-old woman — or however old you are — not knowing in the way you said it, behind my back, constantly, you knew what you were doing," she said.

She ended the conversation by reiterating how disappointed she is in LeeAnne. "You know, it's very sad, very disappointing. Just very sad about it," Kary said. "We're in 2020 almost and to still be called a Mexican and be derogatory toward somebody, it's just not OK."

LeeAnne then delivered an emotional apology to Kary. "I'm sorry. I really am," she said through tears.

Andy ended the reunion by asking each of the ladies to share one thing they want to apologize for and to whom they would like to apologize. "A hundred percent with Kary and to all of our audience," LeeAnne said. "There aren't words to say you're sorry, but I am. I am very sorry. I promise you it will never happen again."

Kary said she received LeeAnne's apology. "Yeah, I mean, I do hear her right now," she said. "Like I said, I think her actions, that's what means the most, at the end of the day."

Immediately after Part 2 of the RHOD Season 4 reunion aired, Stephanie appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and gave her reaction to LeeAnne's defense of her comments. "I do not buy that she is ignorant to not know what she was doing is wrong. I think if you do something like one time, then maybe you could say it was forgivable," she said. "But when I watched it, it was so often and with so much hate, I just don't think that you do it on accident and that you're ignorant."

Andy also asked Stephanie why the RHOD cast thought LeeAnne's comments wouldn't air and if LeeAnne had told her as much. "She was very nervous for it to air. You know, in the past, she's done some things that have been horrible, and I feel like they've always kind of protected her. And I always felt like it was because she does contribute so much," Stephanie said, echoing Brandi's comments on the topic at the reunion. "So I do not think any of us thought that it would ever make the light of day because it was so dark and it was so crazy and she's been protected so much."
