The Summer House cast member shared a behind-the-scenes photo that showed her and her ex, Carl Rake, just before they called off their wedding.
Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke were set to tie the knot in November 2023. However, the Summer House couple surprised fans by announcing their breakup just months before in September. Lindsay, for one, did not see that coming. In the trailer for Season 8 of Summer House above, the publicist reveals that she was "blindsided" by Carl's decision to call off their wedding.
Now, Lindsay is revealing something surprising about the timeline of her breakup with the Loverboy employee. Keep scrolling to see the update.
Lindsay Hubbard shares new info about her breakup with Carl Radke
In a January 11 Instagram post, Lindsay shared a Summer House cast photo for Season 8. (You can get a peek at the upcoming season, which premieres on Thursday, February 22 at 9 PM ET on Bravo, in the clip above.)
In the cast photo, all the Hamptons housemates are laughing and smiling, wearing tropical hues and appearing carefree. (After all, summer is supposed to be fun.) The photo shows Lindsay and Carl with their heads bent together, looking rather lovey-dovey as they laugh over a shared joke.
"For reference," Lindsay wrote in her caption, "this photoshoot was 12 days before he called off the wedding and broke up ..."
In a separate Instagram post, she added, "I feel like I’ve lived 100 lives since this Summer House poster photoshoot day."
Lindsay opens up about her "heartbreaking" breakup with Carl Radke
Since the breakup was announced, Lindsay has been open about her shock and disappointment. She first opened up about it in a statement shared to Instagram weeks after the news broke.
"I would like to start by saying thank you for allowing me the space and time to process my emotions, heal, and grieve the loss of not only my relationship, but my friendship with someone I considered my best friend for 8 years," she wrote,
The statement continued, "The last 2 weeks have been the most heartbreaking and emotional weeks of my life. My entire life and future was ripped out from underneath me and I’ve had a hard time making sense of it all - with no answers or closure on why. I feel humiliated by how it went down, and simultaneously heartbroken that it happened in the first place. My trust has been betrayed, and coming to terms with that has been difficult for me. This was not my decision, and I do not agree with quitting a relationship (at this level) without trying everything possible first. I have spent the last couple of weeks finding my own closure and peace. I am forever grateful to my best friends who have not left my side, and have been picking up the pieces of my heart and life every day from the fallout. I am still grieving and trying to process all that has happened, but I felt it was important to update you all. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and support from my friends, family, cast mates, and all of you for carrying me through."
Carl Rake weighs in on his breakup with Lindsay Hubbard
The former couple had a somewhat "awkward" run-in at BravoCon 2023, which took place in Las Vegas. The Summer House exes sat down for a November 4 panel discussion, and Carl weighed in on the breakup.
"I just want to say this," he said. "I'm sorry because I understand the sanctity of an engagement and all that, I'm sorry that I hurt Lindsay."
He continued: "But at the end of the day, I really do believe that this decision is going to be better and healthier for the both of us."
