Camille Grammer Has a Message for Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards Amid Their Drama
"It really saddens me," Camille Grammer said of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills rift.
We don't know if we actually witnessed the end of a friendship in the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but it certainly seemed like it. Kyle Richards' visit to Lisa Vanderpump's home, Villa Rosa, ended in shouting, tears, and a dramatic exit. You can catch up on all the drama in the above clip.
Camille Grammer, who has been witness to all of the ups and downs in Lisa and Kyle's relationship over the years, remarked on how heartbreaking it's been to see her friends go through this difficult time during an interview with The Daily Dish at the opening of Lisa's Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on March 30.
"I do miss her and Kyle," Camille said, noting how much they've gone through together since Season 1 of RHOBH. "It's sad for me to see them in the place that they're in right now. And that comes from my heart. It really saddens me, and I hope they can put this, their differences aside and move forward in their relationship and in their friendship, because I think they have a special friendship."
Lisa and Kyle's falling out stemmed from a conversation they had at Villa Rosa in which Kyle shared with Lisa that the other RHOBH ladies thought she sold a story to Radar Online about what happened with the dog Dorit Kemsley and her family adopted from the Vanderpump Dog Center. "When I went to Lisa’s house, I knew it wouldn’t be easy but I felt being truthful about the conversation that took place was better than hiding it from her. When I arrived, I got the sense that Lisa knew what I wanted to talk about," Kyle explained in her latest blog on Bravotv.com.
"As soon as I brought up the conversation and what was said, Lisa and then [husband] Ken [Todd] went from zero to 100. Their reaction was so extreme it shocked me. This is not the first time this topic has come up over the years and it has never been met with this sort of a reaction. It didn’t even make sense to me."
Lisa explained her reaction to Kyle's comments on Twitter after the episode aired. "I was probably still overly emotional, was the day before my birthday and life was challenging," she tweeted, adding that she was "not proud of yelling."
Kyle also opened up in her blog about why she decided to tell Lisa what the other women had said. "I tried to explain to Lisa that even though I felt what I felt and said what I said, I do care about her and that I thought I WAS being a friend by telling her about the conversation, even if it wasn’t what she wanted to hear," she explained. "If I had lied at lunch, my other friends would have lost respect for me for not being honest. If I told my truth, Lisa would be mad at me. This is a no win situation for me. Therefore, I just stuck to my truth."
Kyle said that she had hoped that she and Lisa could have "talked it out" like friends. "We have laughed, fought, and made up. We've had our ups and downs. Some friendships have more than others. I always felt our friendship was worth it," she wrote. "This is no longer about the dog or if Dorit should have just given the dog back to Lisa. This is about friendships and trust, or lack thereof."
Kyle ended her blog by saying she "never imagined losing a friendship over this."
We'll see how Lisa, Kyle, and the rest of the group deal with the fallout from this discussion in an all-new episode of RHOBH Tuesday at 9/8c. Watch a preview, below.
