Lisa Vanderpump Has a Theory About Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's Split: "It's a Shame"
The Vanderpump Rules matriarch suspects that "bad behavior" could be to blame.
Since Brittany Cartwright confirmed that she was "taking time apart" from her husband of five years, Jax Taylor, many Bravolebrities have been weighing in on the separation — including their former boss, Lisa Vanderpump.
The SUR co-owner, who got to know the couple well during their time on Vanderpump Rules, weighed in on the couple's split during a recent chat with E! News. Plus, she revealed why she really thinks that the two are calling it quits.

Lisa Vanderpump's Theory on Why Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright Separated
Lisa admitted that many naysayers negatively affected Jax and Brittany's relationship when the two first exchanged vows in Kentucky in 2019, and she tried not to be one of them. As she put it, "Everybody predicted that when they got married. They said, 'Oh this won't last long,' but I kind of never liked to draw conclusions."
Lisa is, however, doing some speculating about what led to Jax and Brittany's split. "I don't know what the reason was, but I imagine it was probably something to do with Jax's bad behavior," she said, referencing Jax's past penchant for infidelity. "I'm not sure, but the indicator of future behavior is normally past behavior."
Jax has denied that cheating was the cause of his separation. In his own interview with E! News, he said that the two were having issues with "communication."
"We're just having a little communication issues right now," he told the outlet. "That's all, there's nothing else."
Lisa Vanderpump Calls Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor's Separation "a Shame"
Lisa may not have been fully surprised to find out that Jax and Brittany were taking some time apart in their marriage, but she is disappointed.
"It's a shame when they have a child," she said, referring to the couple's son, Cruz Michael Cauchi. "Marriage isn't easy and there's always so many options in Hollywood and excuses and their egos involved. I think nearly everybody I know that was married on reality television has separated, except Ken [Todd] and I."
