Here's Something Lisa Vanderpump Never Thought Would Happen During Her Time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Plus, find out the valuable advice she would give herself in Season 1 of RHOBH.
Lisa Vanderpump is one of only two ladies who has the distinction of appearing in all eight seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills so far (the other being Kyle Richards, of course). And in those eight seasons, Lisa has shared a lot with fans, not just her personal life and professional endeavors, but also the causes she's most passionate about.
Lisa reflected on how much being on RHOBH has meant to her over the years during an interview with The Daily Dish at the Third Annual Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala on November 15 in Los Angeles. Namely, Lisa said that never in her wildest dreams did she think she'd have such a huge platform to fight for animal rights around the world. "You know what, [RHOBH has] given me so many opportunities. You know, I never thought when I first started the show that I would be speaking at Congress. It's given me the unbelievable power to have [the Vanderpump Dog Foundation]," she shared. "Let's not minimize the importance of what Bravo has done as well to follow my story in my fight for these dogs, to go to Hong Kong, to see me at my dog rescue center. And I think people have really warmed to the fact that there is something philanthropic. [RHOBH] put the Yulin Dog Meat Festival on the map. And the greatest medium in the world is television, so for me to have that has been a real blessing."
Clearly, the RHOBH experience has been a surprising one in some ways for Lisa. So knowing what she knows now, what advice would she give to herself way back in Season 1? "I would still say the same thing: Be yourself," Lisa told The Daily Dish. "And I think, try to remember what you say [on RHOBH] as well."
Lisa set the record straight on rumors that she's leaving RHOBH last week. "I haven't said anything for two months. Now, everybody's been talking about this. I've just been going about my business and doing my things," she told ET at the Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala. "I am in the show. I have not quit, and if I did quit, it wouldn't just be a leaked story. I would be up front, and I have a lot of loyalty to the production company and the network."
She also confirmed that she will be appearing on the upcoming Season 9 of RHOBH. “I am in this season,” Lisa told PEOPLE and other reporters at the event. “Obviously there are some parts I missed and you’ll see why. I think maybe we’ll have a better understanding when you watch the show.”
We'll see what else is new with Lisa when Season 7 of Vanderpump Rules premieres Monday, December 3 at 9/8c. Check out a sneak peek of the season, below.
