Lloyd Spencer is feeling the love after opening up about his sexuality earlier this season of Below Deck Mediterranean.

During his appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on October 4 (clip above), Lloyd described the outpouring of support he received from fans after speaking about his personal life on the show during an emotional night off with the crew. Lloyd shared that the overwhelming majority of feedback he has received has been positive. Other than "a couple" of comments, the deckhand said "everyone has been absolutely fantastic."

Host Andy Cohen noted how that must have made Lloyd "feel great given how anxious you were about other people finding out." He agreed, sharing, "Of course, yeah, you can see exactly how nervous I was, but I couldn't be any happier with how it's turned out."

While opening up to the Lady Michelle yachties on Below Deck Med, Lloyd shared that he had a toxic experience with a past crew in which his captain at the time made derogatory comments about his sexuality. One member of the virtual audience asked Lloyd during the WWHL After Show if he has since heard from that previous captain or his former crewmates. "No, I have not," Lloyd said in the below clip. "And [the] one main reason for that is I have blocked that captain from contacting me."

Does Kate Chastain Miss Being on Below Deck?

Andy then asked Lloyd if he has any sense of whether or not that former crew knows he's on Below Deck Med. "Yeah, I would imagine that at least one of them would have known that I've distanced myself from that and surrounded myself with some incredible people now," Lloyd told Andy. "So, I'm just not thinking about it."

The WWHL host praised Lloyd, sharing, "Good for you. That's great." Lloyd's fellow WWHL guest that night, Kate Chastain, also showed her support for the deckhand on his journey.

Lloyd is definitely living his best life these days. Not only did he have the Acropolis in the background while he spoke to Andy and Kate on WWHL (yes, the real one in Athens), but he also gave fans a glimpse at his latest yachting job on Instagram last month. Lloyd posted a photo of himself out on the water with the caption, "Back on Charter in Greece and loving life."

Though Lloyd's view of the yachting industry became "quite negative" after his experience with that past crew, he told E! News in August, this season of Below Deck Med totally reminded him of why he got into the business in the first place. "It didn't just equal it out, it completely smashed my previous experiences out from my memory almost. They're still there, but I don't know the right words to say it," Lloyd shared during that interview earlier this summer. "I came out of it with such a confidence boost and such a positive view on possibly going forward into the yachting industry."
