Teresa Giudice Has Advice for Lori Loughlin As She Faces Potential Jail Time in the College Admissions Scandal
The RHONJ mom tells the actress to "just be open" with her two daughters about her ongoing legal issues.
With Lori Loughlin facing potential jail time in connection with her alleged role in the college admissions scandal, Teresa Giudice is offering up her advice on how to deal with that type of situation.
"I'm sure she'll make it through," The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom told ET. "I feel women are strong. We have babies, we do it all. I'm sure whatever outcome it is, I'm sure she'll be fine with it."
Teresa served time in 2015 in connection to the multiple counts of fraud she pleaded guilty to in 2014. Like Teresa, Lori is also a mom to daughters, so Tre shared her advice on how to deal with being separated from one's daughters: "But I guess that's it, just be open with them, and whatever the outcome is, it is. You have to deal with it and move forward."
Lori and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, are accused of paying $500,000 to get their two daughters, Olivia and Isabella, into the University of Southern California (they reportedly are no longer enrolled in the school). They are facing a number of charges, including conspiracy to commit federal program bribery, as well as fraud and money laundering.
According to the Associated Press, they previously pleaded not guilty to fraud and money laundering, and plan to plead not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit federal program bribery. They also waived their right to appear at a November 20 arraignment in connection with the case.
Previously, Kyle Richards addressed the scandal on an episode of WWHL. "We know a lot of people in that circle — and it was really shocking today," she said back in March, in the clip below. "They're really great people and you kind of just go, 'I'm really so confused by all of this.' Everyone's talking about it today in our world, in our circle."
