Life has been a cabaret for The Real Housewives of New York City's Luann de Lesseps this past year. She's pretty much done it all, including releasing new music and going back on tour, in addition to being a member of the cast for Peacock's The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip along with OGs from across the franchise.
It would probably be exhausting for most people, but most people aren't Luann. In an exclusive interview with Bravo Insider, shared during the Season of Getting, The Countess didn't hold back about any of the exciting things currently happening in her life, including her recent gift for fans, her track "What Do I Want For Christmas?".
"I'm loving it. I've always wanted to do a Christmas song, and people have been asking me for that. I couldn't be happier because it suits me. I think it's very catchy. People are loving it. I perform it live in my cabaret show now. The girls have been great, and everybody loves the song," Luann said about the tune, with features her Big Apple pals. "The proceeds go to Fortune Society, and I actually had my first show [in November] at 54 Below, and the proceeds of that show, my very first show [on this current tour], I gave to Fortune Society as well. So I couldn't be happier with the song. And I love the music video. It was great to finally see that come to life after what we've all been through and celebrate the holiday, finally, together."
And Luann even has the perfect beverage to toast her accomplishments and get into the holiday spirit with, thanks to the release of her alcohol-free rosé, Fosé. "[I] just couldn't be happier. It was inspired by my daughter, and it was last summer because we couldn't find anything that we wanted to drink [that was non-acoholic]," she said. "This is where Fosé was born. Whether you drink or don't, for one night or for your life, it doesn't matter. This is [a] great replacement: delicious [and] it's low-calorie. It's elegant, and it really does taste like you're drinking wine. My daughter was like, 'Oh my God. It smells like wine. Are you sure there's not alcohol in here?' I'm like, 'No, it looks just like rosé.' So, you can have a rosé wine, and then you can have a glass of Fosé. And you can hydrate. And it has beautiful ingredients that make you feel good."
As for what Luann will be up to for the holidays, she noted, "I'm spending the holidays with my fans," as she takes her cabaret act on the road this December. Her kids, Noel and Victoria, will be spending some time with their dad, Count Alexandre de Lesseps. "Well, I'm on tour. So, my kids are gonna go to Europe 'cause they haven't been with their father and, finally, they can go and travel," Luann said.
Much like their mom, Noel and Victoria are also very busy with their creative careers. "I'm very close with my kids. I'm very lucky. They're both doing great," Luann said. "And they're artists. And they're, you know, working artists and selling their work. And so, my daughter was at my [cabaret] show last [month] with my mom, who is 92. She came to my first show. And my son will come. And they're in the city with me. So that's great. They both live between here and the Hamptons. They're fantastic. They're 27 and 25 already. I can't believe it."
So, how would Luann describe her 2021 as she reflects on it? "It was a great year. I was very happy to be a part of Ultimate Girls Trip... and then, of course, being on stage and coming out with music. I feel blessed because I've been keeping very busy, and that's great," she said, noting that as the year wraps, "Well, I'm gonna come out with my new song,'F-Bombs on the G with the OGs.' And, you know, after my Christmas tour, I'm gonna sleep."
And what does the future hold for Luann? "I would love to host a talk show or a game show, like The Dating Game. Let's do The Dating Game again. Right now, I'm single. I'm too busy with my cabaret shows for a guy right now. But watch out 2022," she said. "So, you know, besides the Christmas song and the tour and Fosé, you know, I've got my hands full. But, I'm looking forward to 2022."
