Luann de Lesseps Opens Up About the Status of Her Sobriety
The RHONY cabaret singer addressed a recent report about her sobriety.
This season on The Real Housewives of New York City, Luann de Lesseps has been open about her life trying to stay sober in the wake of her 2017 arrest in Palm Beach. The RHONY cabaret singer has offered an update about her sobriety following a new report in connection with her being on parole, which is expected to end in August.
“I take my sobriety very seriously and like many in my situation, it is a daily struggle,” Luann told PEOPLE in a statement. “I remain committed to doing whatever it takes to continue living a healthy sober lifestyle.”
On this week's episode of RHONY, Luann, who has completed two stays in treatment, discussed finding a balance in her life while out playing tennis with old friend and RHONY alum, Jill Zarin. Jill wanted to know more about how Luann maintains her sobriety while also appearing in nightclubs for her cabaret act.
"You know, it's not easy," she said, before elaborating more on her past issues with alcohol in the clip above. She added, "One drink for me throws me off."
