Marlo Hampton Just Celebrated a Major Life Update: "Time Is Moving Fast"
The Real Housewives of Atlanta friend marked a touching milestone with her nephews.
Time flies when you're having fun — and for Marlo Hampton, that fun includes caring for her two nephews, Michael and William. Marlo has been the guardian of her young relatives for the last two years, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta friend reflected on the experience on Instagram. "Today we celebrated 2 years of being a family under the same roof. Time is moving fast. My boys are getting so big!" she wrote alongside a photo of her with her two nephews.
Marlo loves sharing updates about her life while helping to raise Michael and William. She often posts photos of their antics and their accomplishments. And although she's noted that it's "true love" for her when it comes to her nephews, she's also quick to joke as well, recently sharing that they are "my broke BFF’s."
Marlo touched upon the important role she plays in William and Michael's lives in a statement to The Daily Dish in 2020 when she included them in a powerful PSA to support the Black Lives Matter movement and to raise awareness for racial and social injustice.
"Becoming a full-time parent to two young black boys has given me a new outlook on life. I realize now more than ever that I need to use my voice to take action against the repeated acts of racism and violence on African American men and women. Black lives matter and it is my duty to work to improve human rights so that my boys and our children can live in a better world," Marlo said in a statement last year. “It was important for me to reach out and involve my sisters at Bravo, we text and DM about gossip and fashion all the time, but this was about unifying our voices for a cause that is bigger than us!”
While she's previously noted in the Season 12 RHOA After Show that she'd ideally like a romantic partner that can help give her young nephews some male guidance, it's pretty clear that she's teaching them some important lessons herself. "I can’t teach them how to be men, but I CAN teach them how to treat a woman!!" she wrote on Instagram previously. "Always hold the door... Open the car door... Be a provider & protector... Speak kind words... Invest in her dreams... Pray together... Listen to her thoughts..."
