Life has sure changed a whole lot for Marlo Hampton and her family over the past year — as her sister deals with some personal issues, she is now juggling her many professional (and fashionable) hats while raising her two young nephews Michael, 12, and William, 11. And The Real Housewives of Atlanta friend now has a new name that she answers to at home.
"I'm a 'mumty' now," she told New York Post of her cute, upgraded title, which she has taken on with true gusto.
Mumty has really stepped up for Michael and William as a parental figure, confidante, and friend who is trying to prepare them for the best successes in life, as when RHOA viewers saw her take them to the Black Men's Lab fundraiser that Kenya Moore and Marc Daly hosted in order to see some leading black male role models in action.
It looks like Michael and William are thriving and everyone is having a lot of fun! Let's take a peek at some of the sweet moments of their new normal that Marlo has posted on her Instagram feed.
"My nephews mean Everything to me!" she wrote in one post from the BML event. "With them, I’m learning how to raise children and young men can be challenging. I’m grateful to my village & looking forward to connecting with more organizations that support young black men."
Marlo is showing her nephews how fun and rewarding it can be to help others in the community, like they recently did with Kandi Burruss' daughter Riley Burruss for her Get Riled Up event for childhood obesity awareness.
And she's teaching them how to be a gentleman and treat a lady!
"I can’t teach them how to be men, but I CAN teach them how to treat a woman!!" she wrote. "Always hold the door... Open the car door... Be a provider & protector... Speak kind words... Invest in her dreams... Pray together... Listen to her thoughts..."
And they look great doing it all!
"Put us on the cover of somebody magazine," she joked.
Yes, they are a super stylish family. Here's even more proof!
Holidays? Mumty's got that covered, too!
She's got two special Valentines every year — and we love to see it!
