Mazels are in order! Buffie Purselle confirmed she has a new baby in her life. The Married to Medicine friend just revealed that one of her coworkers welcomed a daughter. "We have a new baby in the family," the tax and personal finance professional shared. "Join us in congratulating Astha, head of bookkeeping at our firm, and her hubby in celebrating the birth of baby Tiana! Family is everything."

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine now streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

The big baby news comes just weeks after Buffie confirmed that after struggling with fertility in the past, she and her husband, Dr. David Purselle, have officially begun the surrogacy process. She shared the news during the Married to Medicine Season 7 reunion taping on Thursday, November 21.

“We’re so excited to become parents,” Buffie told PEOPLE. “A family is something that we have both desperately wanted for so long now. We made our decision and we couldn’t be happier!"

Buffie's fertility struggles became an emotional and major topic on the current season of Married to Medicine. Earlier this season, Dr. Jackie Walters called Buffie "infertile" while speaking about her own challenges becoming a mother during her book cover reveal party. Both women discussed that moment in separate interviews with The Daily Dish around the time it aired.

"I was really upset when Dr. Walters made the statement that I was infertile at her party. But I was determined to be the debutante my mother raised me to be, and I wouldn't make her event about me because it was a big deal; she was celebrating the launch of her book," Buffie told The Daily Dish prior to filming the Married to Medicine Season 7 reunion in November. "But I was definitely hurt, and I just did my best to channel my inner Buffie and just smile through it and deal with it later because it wasn't the time or place. But it was very hurtful or humiliating."

Dr. Jackie also offered her take on that moment (clip below): "I hate that it happened. You know, if I could definitely take it back and do it all over again, because I really was not aware what Buffie wanted to share. And I can certainly say it isn’t my place to share. But after we had talked about it throughout the group I really thought it was OK," she explained to The Daily Dish. "And so, certainly being a physician, and, you know, a board-certified physician who takes care of tons of celebrities and people from all over the country, I would not have shared something like that had I thought it was not OK with her. You know, I am sorry. I should have asked her, and I hate that [it hurt her]. That is what definitely bothers me the most," she said.
